Final Fantasy V is heading to North American PSN
The news comes from the ESRB, which re-rated Final Fantasy V for PlayStation 3 and PSP. ESRB rating has revealed that Square Enix is bringing Final Fantasy V to the North American PSN. We’re not surprised since Square Enix confirmed a Final Fantasy V re-release in Japan and Europe.
The game is something of an oddity for the series, having never made it to the U.S. in its native SNES format - it only came stateside as part of the Final Fantasy Anthology, and as the expanded GBA title Final Fantasy V Advance.
This release nor a port of the PSone version of the title, in which some jobs and a bonus dungeon were not included. Then all the contents of the classic role-playing may be present, you still get the core of Final Fantasy V.
In addition to Final Fantasy V, we've got a lot of Square Enix PSOne Classics to look forward to: Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI. Now we just have to wait for the PlayStation Store to fling open its long-shuttered doors.
