Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection: much better graphics and new movies
Final Fantasy IV is the classic of the RPG games. Nintendo DS gamers have already enjoyed the remake of this epic fantasy, now it's the Sony PSP gamers' turn. Besides the updated and upgraded version of the original game, this complete edition includes the lesser known and lesser played The After Years chapter, if you want to know what happened to the knights and the witches after that "happy ending", this is a game you can't miss.
The Complete Edition includes new scenes, much better graphics and new movies. If you have not played the Nintendo DS version before, you can still access the existing contents through the gallery mode.
Game Features:
- The definitive version of one of gaming's greatest sagas.
- An all-new FINAL FANTASY IV Interlude game between FINAL FANTASY IV and THE AFTER YEARS that binds the two epic narratives together!
- High definition graphical updates for both FINAL FANTASY IV and THE AFTER YEARS!
- Play the game in the original Japanese or an updated English translation!
- Choose between the original soundtrack or a rearranged version of the timeless compositions of Nobuo Uematsu
- View an exclusive collection of concept and design art by the famed artist Yoshitaka Amano
- Brand new CGI movie intros for both FINAL FANTASY IV and THE AFTER YEARS
- Enjoy the complete, uncensored FINAL FANTASY IV experience for the first time - no altered graphics, scenarios, or dialogue!
The game is supervised by Takashi Tokita and will feature high resolution sprites similar to those used in the previous Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II remakes on the PSP.
Gameplay
Players have the option of beginning with any game of their choice, including Final Fantasy IV Interlude. Final Fantasy IV will be more in-line with the original version and will not have the features or extra story sequences from the DS release. It instead retains the bonus features of the Advance release, with the post-game dungeons and party swapping.
Changes to the The After Years include seperating Ceodore's tale from Kain's, which was how it was in the original mobile phone release. Ceodore and Kain's original Challenge Dungeons are no longer merged with one another. Exclusive to this version of The After Years is a post-game boss called Lost Babil, which can be fought if the player talks with Challengeway on the True Moon. It is composed of three boss fights, which the player must assemble three parties for.
Special Edition
The European version of Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection comes in a special edition package that features a fold-out box and contains a selection of art cards, a PSP screen cloth featuring Cecil and a new DLC costume for Cecil in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, which is based on the original super deformed artwork for Final Fantasy IV. The special edition will be available at pre-order and on launch.
All NTSC retail versions of the game will contain the product code for the Dissidia 012 DLC for Cecil, and will also include five bonus art cards featuring Amano's character designs.
